A+ Child Care & Learning Center offers tender loving care for infants providing age appropriate development activities in the Marysville, OH area. Our focus in this room is very much about individualized and tender loving care. This is a very special and precious time in a child's development and therefore our infant program allows for children to be cared for on their own individual schedule.
We use the primary care giver system in this room, we do not try to force children into a center or group schedule. The Ohio Department of Education's Guideline for infant and Toddler development are the basis for all educational activities that happen in our infant program.
Infant Program Activities Include:
- Large and small motor development
- Eye, hand and foot coordination opportunities with expression through art and music
- Story time
- Outdoor play time for older infants, as weather permits
Our Infant Staff:
- Betty Williams, Lead Infant Teacher
She is a Fairbanks High School Graduate, has completed her course work for her CDA in Early Childhood Education. Betty has been a member of the A+ staff for over 5 years. She has been a life long member Marysville and Richwood community. She has been married for 40 years and has one adult son, a daughter-in-law and four wonderful grandchildren.
- Kim Wygant, Assistant Infant Teacher
She is a North Union High School Graduate and holds a CDA in Early Childhood Education. Kim has been a member of the A+ staff for over 7 years and has over 12 years of experience working in Early Childhood Education. Kim is also a lifelong member of the Richwood community and is very active in her home church.
- Lara More, Assistant Infant Teacher
She is a Marysville High School graduate and is currently working on her CDA in Early Childhood Education. Lara has been a member of the A+ staff for over 2 years. Although she grew-up in Marysville, she currently resides in Bellefontaine.
In addition, appropriate development lesson plans are written by the staff, which allow for the individual needs of each child. We care for children 6 weeks to 18 months. Our maximum group size is 12 children and 3 full-time staff.
